Interes//Think// is a non-profit organisation that aims to bring people and ideas from different disciplines and of different industries together.

=== Why We Do What We Do ===

We believe that diversity, cross-industry collaboration and inter-disciplinary innovation is the best way to solve the world's increasingly complex problems.

Inspired by the [[http://ted.com|TED conferences]], we did our first event, [[villagetalk|VillageTalk]], on the 25th May 2007 in Singapore. [[villagetalk|VillageTalk]] is a precursor to InteresThink. To know what to expect for InteresThink, you can view the videos [[villagetalk|here]].

We followed up with InteresThink 2 [[::videos||videos]]on the 23 Feb 2008. With twice the number of an [[::interesthink_2:audience list|amazingly diverse audience]] and an event design that integrated conversations into the main event, InteresThink 2 set new grounds in conference design and audience interaction.

=== The Format ===

We invite speakers from a variety of expertise, interest and backgrounds to speak on //any// topic they desire.

Speakers are required to limit themselves to 20 minutes. It will be followed by a [[http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_World_Cafe|World Cafe]] session.

Our facilities and discussion format aim to enable informal exchange with the objective of bringing forth future collaboration among speakers and audience. 

As such, our audience is strictly by invitation only. We also take deliberate efforts to diversify our efforts in bringing in an audience from a variety of industry, expertise, background and age group.
