Your Space: creating tools for the elderly to live more productive lives

    I think there is an urgent need to create tools for the elderly to allow them to live more productive lives. I'm talking about simple inventions that they can use to manage their lives - maybe better trolleys or better walkers, and other kinds of simple tools. It will have to be done from a design perspective. And what we also need are better graphic user interface that will allow the elderly to interact with information technologies in an almost barrier-free manner.

    The other thing about the elderly is that they are a source of untapped information. How do we tap that? How do we record their knowledge?
